This leading International Manufacturer based in Rydalmere has recently relocated due to rapid expansion. Providing state-of-the art technology based products they are well known and respected in the marketplace.

This position will involve purchasing/ procuring goods and services within quantity, quality and cost requirements, within given timeframes. You will also be responsible for supporting reliable sources of supply for goods and services; on-time-delivery; cost and inventory reduction and supplier Quality Assurance.

Reporting to the National Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager, you will be:

  • Sourcing product and pricing
  • Prepare Request For Quotations
  • Create and maintain supplier purchase orders in ERP system
  • Reconcile invoices with purchase orders;
  • Monitor supplier performance in the areas of DiFOT, quality & cost
  • Provide monthly reports and improvement action plans
  • Assist in the coordination of inventory control activities ensuring accurate quantities of inventory are purchased at the correct price and delivered within the required timeframes
  • Maintain pricing and lead times for all inventory items in ERP system
  • Negotiate appropriate delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure optimum inventory levels, lead time and maintaining zero shortages
  • Expediting purchase orders ensuring on time delivery
  • Manage suppliers’ incidents in line with group standards
  • Assist with supplier audits
  • Resolve supplier issues or escalate where necessary

Ideally you will bring:

  • Previous experience with procurement, operations and material management
  • Purchasing Certification or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate Excel & ERP system exp
  • Materials control with in project / Manufacturing/ Technical/ Parts or similar (desirable)
  • Worked in a team environment / across multiple sites (desirable)
