Operating for more than 45 years, this reputable Co sources products from overseas for the Industrial FMCG/ DIY Hardware market and supplies to some of the biggest names in Retail! They are looking for someone to build on their product sourcing experience to source and promote their leading brands!
Your duties will include:
Analysis of competitors and keep abreast of category trends and the industry as a whole.
Source relevant products and manage the product category and ensure the most appropriate product and margin mix is selected.
Liaising with overseas manufacturers to bring products to market
Manage the existing overseas supplier network and maintain supplier relationships to grow the product category.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the Technical aspect of products
Manage product related support from Customers and end-users
Maintain knowledge of Industry standards & keep up to date re: changes in the industry
Requirements for the position include:
Experience in the Plumbing, Hardware or DIY products is essential
Previous exposure to Product Compliance Standards
Available for overseas travel (mainly Asia/ China)
Experience with identifying market trends
Product sourcing experience
